Hi Valerie - thanks for the great recipes! A tip for the sweetened condensed milk on the Dessert Bars, when you first start your recipe, put the unopened can of condensed milk into a bowl of really hot water in the sink. When it's time to "drizzle" it, it will be warm and a little easier to pour. It's not a perfect solution, but that's what I do to keep it from coming out in globs. I just found a creamy almond cake mix at the store tonight I didn't know they made them but I'd love for you to show us something to do with this cake mix ,thanks also I made the cinnamon roll poke cake tonight but it's still chilling.
ZERO SUGAR COOLWHIP HAS CORN SYRUP AS A MAIN INGREDIENT. ALSO ACCORDING TO THE LABEL IT HAS A TRIVIAL AMOUNT OF SUGAR. But water, corn syrup are the first two ingredients which means it’s primarily water and corn syrup.
It’s weird, but every time I’ve done this, it fails. The cake ends up being about an inch and a half tall, and totally dense. I want it to work, but it never has.

@@DebraCaraballo I just turned 70 (UGH) and made my first cake at ten. It was a disaster, LOL! I used baking soda instead of baking powder. It tasted terrible. I never made the mistake again. I do make cakes from scratch as well. I sure wish we could figure out why the substitutions haven't worked for you. I'm in the beautiful state of Michigan. You have a great day!

I always replace the water with milk and the oil with butter.

How can I use up a box of spice cake mix?
Add a can of pure pumpkin and a cup of chocolate chips. Chill for few minutes then drop as cookies. 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. They are good.
